Autumn at the Snake River is depicted in this plein air oil on canvas  panel by noted Western artist, Patrick Harper (1939-2020).  The 12" x 16" landscape painting is mounted in a 19" x 22" espresso stained wood frame with slight distressing.

Patrick Harper (1939-2020) studied art at the University of Evansville in Indiana followed by further studies in Los Angeles at the Art Center College of Design and Otis College of Art.  For many years, Harper was an art instructor for the Otis College of Art, The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and for UCLA extension courses.  As an adjunct to fine art, Harper also worked in the motion picture and television industry, creating concepts for advertising storyboards and illustrations.  Museum exhibitions included: Phippen Museum in Prescott, Arizona and in California at the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art at Pepperdine University, Pasadena Museum of California Art, the Pasadena Museum of History and a Solo Exhibition at the Museum of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.  Patrick Harper was an Artist Member of the California Art Club and Oil Painters of America.
